Hungary twelve-month consumer price inflation slows to 3.7pc yr/yr in August
<p>Budapest, September 10, 2010 (MTI-ECONEWS) - Hungarian consumer prices increased 3.7pc in the twelve months to August, slowing from 4.0pc in July, data published by the Central Statistics Office (KSH) on Friday show.</p>
In a month-on-month comparison, consumer prices fell 0.6pc after a 0.1pc increase in July.
Analysts polled by business daily Napi Gazdasag estimated consumer prices rose 4.1pc yr/yr in August
Inflation in January-August averaged 5.2pc, KSH said.
Annual average inflation was 4.2pc last year, down from 6.1pc in 2008.
