State secy of foreign affairs meets Austrian counterpart

Budapest, November 30 (MTI) - Peter Szijjarto, state secretary in charge of foreign affairs at the PM s office, surveyed bilateral relations with Austrian state secretary of foreign affairs Reinhold Lopatka on Friday, his press chief told MTI.

The two sides agreed that Austria and Hungary are strategic allies and have a common interest in developing cooperation, Eva Varga said.

Szijjarto briefed the Austrian official about the government s economic policy measures which have resulted in cuts to the public debt and improved competitiveness, she said.
