Budapest, August 29 (MTI) - The economic sentiment of Hungarians has fallen to a nadir not seen since the period 2007-2009, according to a survey published by Tarki on Wednesday.
The last time people were so down about the assessment of their current financial situation or future prospects was 3-5 years ago, Tarki said, citing the July survey.
Only a single percent of respondents assessed the state of Hungary s economy to be good and only 13 percent expected an improvement within the next year, the data showed.
Eight percent were upbeat about their financial situation while another 8 percent expected things to improve within a year.
