Budapest, December 8 (MTI) - Voters political activity slightly increased in December after a decreasing trend in previous months and the governing parties maintained their leading position among all voters, as well as among decided voters, pollster Szazadveg said on Thursday.

A total of 49 percent of the 1,000 people interviewed by phone in early December said that they would definitely cast their ballot if the election were to be held this weekend.

The ratio of uncertain voters slightly decreased to 39 percent.

Support for the ruling Fidesz-Christian Democrats stood at 30 percent among all voters, support for the main opposition Socialists was 12 percent, for the radical nationalist Jobbik 10 percent and for the green LMP 5 percent.

The newly formed Democratic Coalition (DK) headed by former Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsany received 2 percent support among all voters and according to Szazadveg, it coincided with a drop in support for LMP.

Among decided voters, the ruling parties received 49 percent, the Socialists 21 percent, Jobbik 18 percent and LMP 7 percent. DK would receive 3 percent in this group, below the threshold to get into parliament.
