Brussels, November 30 (MTI) - Hungary will participate in developing Europe s military capabilities in four areas, such as helicopter staff training, military hospitals, pilot training and European cargo centres, Defence Minister Csaba Hende told MTI during a session of EU defence ministers in Brussels on Wednesday.

Further, Hungary wants to take part in enhancing protection against improvised explosive devices, he said, adding that a proper training centre is available for the purpose at Szentendre, north of Budapest.

Earlier on Wednesday the European Defence Agency presented altogether 16 development projects, including the four ones Hungary will be involved in, he said.

The ministers also reviewed the EU s military missions, including ALTHEA in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Addressing the session, Hende said that Hungary would continue to take an active part in ALTHEA, and welcomed that the member states agreed on the need to continue the Bosnian mission.
