Slovak, Hungarian students receive ethnic conflict management training

Budapest, September 22 (MTI) - Secondary school students and their teachers in southern Slovakia and neighbouring Nograd County in northern Hungary will get ethnic conflict management training that promotes tolerance and intercultural understanding, the director of the castle museum of Filakovo told MTI on Thursday.

Budapest, September 22 (MTI) - Secondary school students and their teachers in southern Slovakia and neighbouring Nograd County in northern Hungary will get ethnic conflict management training that promotes tolerance and intercultural understanding, the director of the castle museum of Filakovo told MTI on Thursday.

The training sessions organised by the museum and the Open Book reader group of Salgotarjan will be held at the student camp of Szandavar on Saturday and Sunday, said Attila Agocs.

 

Secondary schools from Salgotarjan, Balassagyarmat and Szecseny in Hungary and Filakovo and Lucenec in Slovakia will be involved in the programme, Agocs said.

 

The training sessions will be held in Slovak and Hungarian by two psychologists. They have been organised with support from the Open Society Foundation s units in Bratislava and Budapest.
