Hajdu completes HUF 780m water boiler production investment
<p>Budapest, July 23, 2010 (MTI-ECONEWS) - Hungarian-owned Hajdu Hajdusagi Ipari has completed a HUF 780m investment to expand and improve water boiler production capacity at its plant in Teglas (NE Hungary), CEO Anna Novotni-Dede said at a press conference on Friday.</p>
Hajdu Hajdusagi Ipari paid for HUF 392m of the investment with its own resources, European Union funding covered HUF 273m of the cost and the company took out a loan of HUF 115m, Mrs Novotni-Dede said.
Hajdu Hajdusagi Ipari has made about HUF 2bn in investments over the past three years, Mrs Novotni-Dede told MTI.
The company aims to match last year s turnover of HUF 9bn in 2010. Water boilers generate about half of revenue, but the latest investment will raise output from the current 110,000-120,000 units per year.
About half of the company s products are exported, mainly to Western Europe.
Hajdu Hajdusagi Ipari employs 650 people.
