Hungary EconMin expects 10-15 pc of forex borrowers to repay
Budapest, October 28 (MTI) - Around 10-15 percent forex borrowers are likely to repay their mortgages, affecting a stock of loans worth 500-750 billion forints (EUR 1.66-2.49bn), Economy Minister Gyorgy Matolcsy told in response to an opposition Socialist lawmaker s question on Wednesday, according to parliament s website.
Budapest, October 28 (MTI) - Around 10-15 percent forex borrowers are likely to repay their mortgages, affecting a stock of loans worth 500-750 billion forints (EUR 1.66-2.49bn), Economy Minister Gyorgy Matolcsy told in response to an opposition Socialist lawmaker s question on Wednesday, according to parliament s website.
Matolcsy said the government was closely watching the scheme and was ready to take further action if needed once the exact number of early repayments was known.
The minister noted that forex borrowers have until December 30 to apply for the early repayment option.
