Jobbik to organise march against “austerity”

Budapest, May 5 (MTI) – Radical nationalist party Jobbik has said it will hold a march in protest against “brutal austerity” on May 12 in Budapest.

Gabor Vona, the party’s leader, said in a statement on Saturday that the route of the march would encompass both the ruling Fidesz and opposition Socialist headquarters.

“We will in this way symbolise the cross-government austerity imposed under the pressure of the EU and IMF,” the statement said. “The government of the rich carries on where the heads of its predecessor, Ferenc Gyurcsany and Gordon Bajnai, left off,” it added.
