Hungary to do “everything” to hit deficit targets, says Csefalvay

London, October 25 (MTI) – Hungary will to everything necessary to ensure that it hits its deficit targets and thereby exit the EU’s excessive deficit procedure which it has been under since 2004, Zoltan Csefalvay, the state secretary for economic strategy, told financial analysts at a briefing held in the country’s London embassy on Thursday.

Csefalvay said the government’s budgetary consolidation measures announced so far would be sufficient to ensure the budget deficit goals are achieved.

Hungary targets a shortfall of 2.7 percent of gross domestic product this year and 2013.
