Hungary progress good on EU law harmonisation, says report

Budapest, September 23 (MTI) – A European Union report on Thursday said Hungary was progressing well in bringing its legal apparatus in line with EU laws.

Only about 0.7 percent of EU laws are left to be incorporated into the national legal system, below an EU average of 0.9 percent and well below Portugal’s and Greece’s result of over 2 percent.

Hungary has 26 ongoing procedures filed against it in the EU, which is also lower than the EU average of 46, the report said.
