Hungary posts EUR 839.7 m trade surplus in March – final data

Budapest, June 2 (MTI) – Hungary posted a trade surplus of 839.7 million euros in March, according to final figures, up from the initial reading of 831.1 million, the Central Statistical Office said on Thursday.  

In March a year before Hungary posted a surplus of 600.9 million euros.


Exports in euro terms rose by an annual 18.4 percent in March, while imports increased by 16.1 percent.


In the first quarter, the trade balance was 2.07 billion euros in positive territory.


Exports in this period went up by 23.5 percent while imports grew by 21.7 percent.
