Hungary industry output up 10.9pc in Sept

Budapest, November 5 (MTI) – Hungary’s industrial output rose by 10.9 percent according to both unadjusted and workday-adjusted figures in the twelve months to September, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said in a first reading on Friday.

Output rose by 0.5 percent from September after a 2.3 percent adjusted monthly increase in August.

    The rise in output slowed from an unadjusted 17.7 percent and a workday-adjusted 15.1 percent in the twelve months to August.

    January-September output was up 10.2 percent from a year earlier.

    Industrial output declined 17.7 percent last year after no change in 2008. The last growth year was 2007 with an annual increase of 7.9 percent.
